I hope I have a crystal ball to know when this 'washout' will happen, so I can cash out on time and invest at the low. But unfortunately, I don't haha.
If it ever happens, I will just continue to invest in the companies that I truly believe in. After all, a washout will not necessarily change the company's underlying fundamentals. McDonald's will still continue to sell their burgers and fries, Toyota will still produce its vehicles, Apple will still continue to sell their new iPhone like hotcakes. Nothing will change to the business.
This means I can get in at even cheaper prices hahaha. See it like a Black Friday or 11/11 sales.
Hello! Very interesting article and they've mentioned how September is the worst-performing month for most years. Wash-out or not, we'll never know when it'll come or what causes it this time. Whatever the case, as long as you have conviction in your companies you are holding on to, you shouldn't need to worry about it.
Good companies will also fall in the short-term as the market is always irrational in the short-term. We should be happy instead because this means we could pick them up at discounted prices.
