Burpple beyond has a pre included clause that forces you to automatically renew one whole year of subscription . And they only inform u of the renewal less than 3 working days before . So if you forgot to turn off the auto renew , they will charge u full one year subscription. They refuse to refund, even if u have not redeemed anything and even if it have been billed to ur credit card 3 days only . Whereas entertainer is not auto renew and has a much more ethical way of conducting business , selection is better too .

I'm wondering if getting these 2 subscriptions would actually cause you to spend more due to the sunk cost (the subscription fee). 2 of my friends are sharing the premium (4 deals per place) plan and one of them asked me to sign up because of the referral deal (refer 2 friends and get a year's premium plan free). Said friend considered signing up for a while and I asked her if it would cause her to spend more due to the sunk cost but she was eyeing the possible savings instead.

So when she tried to ask me to sign up she tried to convince me by saying I can use it when I go out to eat (in restaurants/cafes). My problem with that argument is that some of my family and friends are fine with hawker centre/coffee shop food and not necessarily must eat at restaurants/cafes. I also have a budget for eating out (am working but don't qualify for a credit card aka don't earn a lot) and I do not wish to exceed my budget.

• Has someone actually compared their eating out expenses before and after using Burpple Beyond?
• What do you do with the 'savings' by using Burpple Beyond? Spend on more food at the same establishment or dessert/snacks on the same day or other days? I had dinner with said friend who has Burpple Beyond and we ordered more food than we can finish and end up tabaoing the excess (food waste is real, guys).

TL;DR: Non-Burpple Beyond subscriber concerned about possibility of overspending on food and also possible overordering/overeating when one subscribes to Burpple Beyond
