Anyone has any hotel staycation recommendations? Looking at something below $150/night with a decent room quality (e.g. spacious and clean)?

Hi there!

You might want to consider Hotel Yan for the price point of below $150/night. It is situated along Tyrwhitt Road, nearby Chye Seng Huat Hardware cafe and other cafes too.

Personally, I've stayed at Hotel Yan for a staycation some time back and enjoyed my time spent there. I stayed in the Deluxe King room, which measures 20sqm. Not very spacious, but is clean and cosy.

It is also around a 5 mins walk to the Beach Road Scissors Cut Curry Rice, worth a try! The curry sold is not very spicy, and there's a variety of ingredients to choose from (:
