Hi anon,
From what you described, it is likely one of the following reasons:
You've had too many credit enquires. Each time you apply for a credit card, an enquiry is made into your credit history, which will be a record on your file.
You've had too many applications in a short time. Similar to above. If you already have two lines of credit extended to you within a month, banks may be nervous about granting you a third one
You have little credit history. The ability to demonstrate responsible use of credit will help build your credit score and mark you as a low risk defaulter. Try using your cards a little and paying the bills in full. Once you have more cards which you actively use, you'll be able to get cards easier and faster
In view of this, wait 3 months before trying again. It's a ball park figure, but don't repeated apply, it will worsen your record in accordance with the first point I stated.

Depends on situation. Could it be because you just graduated and have not worked long enough?
I guess for local Singaporeans, as long as you have a FT job for at least 3 months, it's hard to get rejected. I guess you could try again in 3 months time!
