I always recommend beginners to kickstart their investing journey using passive investing style. It is through robo advisors or etf rsp.
I recently wrote an article, you might be interested to read more.
When I started, I put some of my money in a roboadvisor and tried to understand first-hand what drove changes in the portfolio performance. Also, I made a brokerage account (these can take quite a while to get approved, so apply before you need/want to trade) so I can buy the stocks I was interested in after doing some research on. You can also get stocks through roboadvisors like Kristal.AI !
There are many resources out there to teach you how to start investing. Depending on what kind of medium appeals to you, there are many different options to choose from.
You can see a list of the resources that I've been using here, and hopefully it'll be useful for you as well!
Great that you are starting out your investing journey !
You could start out with reading and watching tons of investment related content. You can watch youtube videos or read blog articles such as the ones from Seedly.
My advice to new investors is always
Figure out what you are investing for ! (Passive income? Capital appreciation?)
Know what you know (Understanding your area of competence)
Find companies that fall in that area
Choose 1 that you like and understand from top to bottom
Start investing in that company first even if it is a small amount
If you need any help you can contact me @ https://sgstockmarketinvestor.com/ !
You can look at Seedly's article on how to begin your investment journey here.
All the best!
You can begin by reading the intelligent investor book - which is how Warren Buffett sort of started his value investing journey.
Dont be afraid. You do not need to read the whole thick book.
