Hello!

I assume you have explored REITS and other Div stocks and are specifically asking for ETF's so here goes -

In SG you can use the SGX screener - https://www2.sgx.com/securities/etf-screener

Sort by dividend yield. From this watch out for the expense ratio, for example the highest div paying etf is CFN @ 6.15 but it has an expense ratio of 2.71!!!

Also keep an eye out for SGD vs USD, assuming you want SGD ETFs.

Volume is another thing to look out for, CFN didnt trade today...

O9P is a 'good' one, its essentially HYG for Asia, do note its in USD -

"ā€¢ Diversified exposure to high yield bonds issued by governments and corporates in Asia ex Japan region

ā€¢ USD denominated high yield bond exposure

ā€¢ For investors seeking potential higher income"

There are also so REIT etfs in there which are not bad. This screener is a good starting

point!

Hope this helps!

Hi anon,

SG ETFs don't generally give very good dividiends. The STI ETF's dividends are around 3+% for example. So I don't really recommend them for dividends.

Instead, consider directly buying stocks/REITs/UTs to get a better yield. Yields can range from 4% onwards till as high as 7%-8%, which will be much better. They all have their pros and cons so you will want to do some research on the individual holdings/counters/funds first before starting.

Aim to have a diversified portfolio considering of a good mix of higher risk (e.g. REITs/Stocks) and lower risk holdings (e.g. fixed income). This should then give you a decent yield while lowering your overall portfolio risk considerably, as compared to a pure stock/UT portfolio, or a pure fixed income portfolio.

When it comes to dividends, I am not a fan of using ETFs.

I would recommend you to try out StashAwa...
