Hi, I am married without kids so I don;t have a figure on the expense of a family of four. My suggestion is that if possible you may want to consider to save at least $500 a month for future invesment.

Hi, If Brexit will to go through, there will be high probability that the FTSE 100 index will tank which will present opportunity to invest in good companies.

Hi, As mentioned, you need passive income for your wedding hence capital protection is the main criteria here. Investing in POSB invest saver, will take your money to invest in stocks and bonds which may be volatile in the near future. Therefore, you may want to consider sticking with the SSB option.

Hi, Based on the figure in the article, it seem like the annual return is about 5%. Investing in stocks can achieve the follwing figure but a more safer way, I would suggest is investing in index ETF. In generally most index should be able to achieve the given percentage except for Japan market index.

Hi, Normal bokerage account allow you to pay 2-3 days later after a stock purchase while the cash upfront account require you to deposit money in first before any purchase. For cash upfront account, Fundsupermart seem competitive and easy to navigate but the downside is that they only can invest in Singapore, Hong Kong and US only. Personally, I think that normal bokerage got not much difference as their price are all competitive.I think the service level of your broker is important. Personally, I use CIMB and Kim Eng.

Hi, I do not time where the market is going and try to buy into the sector. My investment style is more of a bottom up approach, focusing on finding great business and buy them when opportunity arises.

Hi, I uses the Bloomberg app to guage the index valuation using PE ratio. In general, the average PE range for all index ETF is around 15x. If the index is trading below 10x then I deemed it as cheap. Few months ago, the Hang Seng index was trading below PE 10x which i think is cheap so I bought some Hang Seng ETF for my wife.
