I currently have OCBC Frank, DBS eSaving, & SC Jumpstart account. Is OCBC Frank Account okay for savings?
Hi there, I think you should consolidate all your money in SCB Jumpstart account to make use of their 2% interest till end of this month which I have already done so last year! However, starting from 1 July onwards the interest will be cut into half. So please do it now! And you can also open a Singlife account which is at 2.5% interest , pretty high and solid too!

What's the best savings account without spending?
Yes! I’ve starting opening my Jumpstart Account with Standard Chart! And I am so happy to see the interest rolling for the past 3 months!! And furthermore I’m 26 and 25 to 26 this nov 28 so I got the chance to be having this account! And I’m totally loving it! I’m still otw to reach the max 20k amount but I am happy with my emergency fund park there and seeing the interest grow so much. No spendings, not much terms and conditions and if 2% is in! No fuss at all opening the account and got my $20 voucher worth from grab and used it to offset my load to work twice! Got the debit card and throw it in my other wallet and not gonna use it just gonna see my money increase in future! Go get them not sponsored thou!

Hi there! I think you should really take up this job offer offering u 1.8k basic - 2k per month. I am currently working and earning the same as you and I am happy with the stage of life I am now. I have friends whom are earning 3.5-4.5k per month. They are even close friends as me and I don’t feel like they earn more they are happy they have to pay this pay that. At first when i got my first full time job I was like why not go ahead with this job which I love doing it the most! My friends said don’t join this company instead find a higher pay job, I said no and I stand my ground and was hired and then confirmed after 3 months probation. It was an amazing journey . I don’t regret earning lesser than my diploma friends which I also attained a dip cert. I may not be rich or capable of buying a lot of things for example shopping but I am happy I can survive my life up till today. I do freelancing too but my FT job takes most of my days and not much freelancing work loas so hence I manage to save $1K a month which is like 60% of my pay every month since the first day at the first month of my pay cheque I managed to save at least 1k$ every month. have faith and keep doing what u love to do. Be genuine and u go farrrr #seedly helps me a lot sometimes:)

Honestly, I saved about 60% of my salary. And I can do it, so can u. I still eat normally and sometimes I manage to get McDonald’s breakfast too. It’s just how disciplined you are?

I'm 26, going 27 next year, and I see all my friends getting married, doing well in their work, but I feel like I haven't really grown up. Is it normal to feel so lost and behind?

It is perfectly normal as I am 25 this year and 26 next year we are around of the same age. All my close friends are happily married and almost all have children and even some on the way to get child. I am blessed that we are still friends and we do meet occasionally and chit chat and give support to one another. Dont worry at all, we are doing fine!

I am currently a student and I have some CPF savings, however, my CPF contributions are irregular depending on jobs. Should I cancel my DPS and only take it up when I've started working again?

Never ever cancel or terminate your dpS! It is good to have and it is auto once u start working and have a cpf deduction. No cash is being use when u are working part time. It doesn’t cost much too! Jiaoyou!

I’ve starting paying my own bills at the age of 16. And I’m sure you can do it. I pay my own starhub mobile bill and it’s not a burden at all. Start small and I’m sure u can settle the rest. If lodging payment, can give monthly sum of money to your parent for eg. $100-$200

Hi there! Good that at your age as a nsf you love to save, invest and learn ways to save and also bloom your money. During my time in ns, I opened up a POSB saye account and it really helps to discipline your saving skills or method as it auto deduct your amount you wish to save. This account I must say is a must to open!! Safra debit card would be good because the ammenities at safra for example if you life to swim is free! It’s just the few months they will deduct a portion of your pay up to $90 monthly but only for like a few months from what I recall. As I just ord this year July:) Currently, I have 3 accounts with DBS. It’s good for savings, expenses and an account to keep for your let say holiday or future planning in let say 2-4 years. You can do it!

I am currently 25 this year and have managed to save $10K, is it a “good” amount to start investing or to keep saving for the future?

If it’s me I will keep saving the amount of money until I feel that my emergency funds are enough for my expenses up till 6-12 months. Read more ore to gain knowledge or if you don’t like reading like me, talk to more financial consultants at fb or ig. They are willing to share more. All the best!

Dont be too picky. I’m a fresh grad also and I got an offer of 2K only and I am up for it. I am happy to learn along the way. Go and grab this golden chance as we are still young to learn and gain more new experiences along the way.
