My boyfriend is a heavy smoker, and he smokes a pack a day. How do I convince him that there's no benefits to it, and he can better spend the money elsewhere?

Just let him know that you don't like him to smoke. Or you don't like smokers. And leave it as that. Smokers will only stop smoke when they decide to stop. No amount of advices given will help them. In the end, it will sound like nagging. Also, decide at this point if you are able to tolerate the smoking for the rest of your life.

Do lots of research. Goggle is my best friend. And when using goggle, include the word blog with what you want to search. This will bring you to blogs that people have written about the place you want to go. Bloggers will write their feeling about the place, how to go, how much it costs, do and don't at that location and what to watch out for. Flights I sign up to all the flights newsletter and telegram sales. So once I have a feeling that I want to travel somewhere, I'll wait for the sale to appear and grab it fast. Accommodation Airbnb, booking.com and agoda.com. I found a friend who book hotels frequently using agoda and has become some vip member. So by using his account, the prices is definitely lower than me booking on my account. Hiking The best hack I ever use when hiking was using 2 shower caps provided by to wrap the dirty shoes. I can throw the shoes onto the bag and not worry about dirty bags. Activities I will look into klook and compare the prices stated there to the blogs ( read first paragraph). This will tell me if the price is worth the activities. Bright color clothes Good for phototaking Shopback Using Shopback app to earn some cashback. That's it for now.

What do you do with expensive gifts that were given to you, but you have no use of? Is it reasonable to sell it? am I being labelled ungrateful for selling it?

I'll sell it. As u don't need it, it will be collecting dust at home. And if ur friend sees it collecting dust, he will feel sad tht he bought u a white elephant. But if he knows that u make use of the gift aka sell it and get something u really need, if he is a true friend, he will understand.

Got a friend who did banquet waiter. Full time study 3/4 times a week night work. As banquet, the friend is able to choose when to work and not to work. In the end, pay off the degree before guaduation. Personally did full time work and part time studies. It can be tiring and have to manage time well. But it worth me for me cos my work and studies are related.

Can do many things 1. Bring home cook meals to work rather than buy. 3-5x a week 2. Use fan rather than air con. See your bill in 1 month 3. Spend less than $50 on dating/entertainment per week. You will realise there are alot of free things to do in singapore 4. There was a $5/day challenge. 5. Only home cook food allow, $30/week/pax.
