I am new to investing. Anyone knows whether the expense ratio showed in Kristal.AI is in percentage or ratio?

Hi Anon, As the others already mentioned, it's 0.7% :) This is the Total Expense Ratio depending on the ETF itself. There is no additional Management or Brokerage fee for your first $50,000 invested in Kristal.AI! Hope that helps!

Read some of the comments and saw that Kristal.AI doesn’t charge fees for first 25 transactions. If that’s the case, should I maximise this 25 trades before buying my ETFs via other platforms like Saxo/TD/FSM?

Hi Anon, Yes, that is certainly possible. The idea is to have more investing like behaviour and not frequent trading, which we strongly believe investing like behaviour is better in longer term. Keep in mind that for Systematic Investment Plans (SIPs), only the initiation counts as 1 trade, the subsequent execution does not count towards the 25 trades!

Where can I invest in a broad range of ETFs (Bonds, REITs, Stocks etc) with low transaction fees? Kristal.Ai seems to be one option and Syfe seems to be one for REITs, any others?

Hi Anon, Thanks for considering Kristal.AI! We charge zero fees for the first $50,000 invested (limited to 25 trades per year). Kristal provides a broad range of ETFs and ETF baskets, but as we aren’t a broker, you won’t find any single-name stocks on our retail platform. The big advantage – besides fees, of course – is that you can choose yourself if you go completely DIY and choose the ETFs you want or you can get some recommendations from our investment algorithm based on your individual risk profile! 😊 Hope this helps!

Hi Anon, That’s a good question with no easy answer 😊 First of all you should know yourself: what’s your unique situation, do you have an emergency fund in place, are there any foreseeable events coming up that require cash and, very importantly, what is your risk appetite! Thankfully, Kristal.AI helps you with your discovering your risk profile and – subsequently – our investment algorithm will suggest ETFs or ETF baskets that are suited to your specific profile! If you need any further help, please don’t hesitate to contact customer support (Whatsapp or email) anytime!

Hi Anon, If you exceed the annual 25 trade limit the custody fees and asset operating fees (such as commissions, dividend processing, etc) are charged per trade by our Partner Broker, Saxo Capital. For further detail on the fees charged, you can refer to this link: https://www.home.saxo/en-sg/rates-and-conditions/etf/commissions

Hi Anon, It depends on what you’re looking for! Kristal.AI is not a pure broker, but we do give our clients a lot of freedom to choose among our curated selection of 200+ ETFs and ETF baskets. In addition, you can run our investment algorithm, which will give a recommendation for a portfolio that is suited to your exact risk profile and situation! Also, we charge zero fees for the first $50,000 invested – that’s a big advantage, especially when just starting out on your investment journey! 😉

Hi Anon, Sorry to hear that you’re having trouble navigating our platform. We try our very best to make it accessible to everybody! There are two tips I can give you right away: 1) Have you tried running the investment algorithm? You will find the button “Get Investment Advice” in the Explore tab on your app. There you can directly put in the desired amount that you want to invest. 2) You can use the ETF screener on our website: https://kristal.ai/etfs/explore/ In the filter menu, you will find one option to limit “Unit Value”. Please note: Unit value isn’t automatically the same as the minimum investment value, but it’s one way to start exploring Kristals that might be more suitable for you! Did those tips help you? If not, you can also directly send a Whatsapp to +65 8511 9486 to get further help!

Hi Adrian, This question was already answered here: https://seedly.sg/questions/what-happens-if-a-robo-advisor-goes-bankrupt Rest assured, if the worst case happens and a robo advisor has to close down, you will definitely get your money back! Here is our CEO's answer to the question: At Kristal.AI we use Saxo Capital Markets as the broker and hence custodian for our retail portfolios. They too are regulated by MAS and maintain the capital requirements as needed. For significantly larger sized accounts we even offer managing portfolios in Bank of Singapore / DBS or any such bank account. In the event of Kristal closing down, all assets held at Saxo via Kristal have to be sold and cash transferred out to another bank or broker. An administrator typically oversees this process. Client money is always kept segregated from comapny funds and there two can never be intermingled regulatorily. Given the size that we have grown to the risk of us facing such closure is limited. However if you have a much larger portfolio feel free to know more about our managed account offering.
