Use Fast. I tried with a sgd1 transfer to confirm the transfer would work correctly. Low risk testing before I transfer the actual amount.

Should I begin buying stocks and earn dividends first or should I consider buying an insurance plan first?

Insurance first. It's like a sports analogy I heard before. You have defense , strikers etc. No matter how good your striker is , you still need a goal keeper and defenders.

Hi, how I can save money and make money while in university? Really thinking of getting through university without relying on my parents as I don't wish to add on to their expenses?

I had my meals mostly within the university compound and food expenses were low. For the semester I would work part time. During the holidays, I would look for full time internships in industries I am interested in. So I can earn money and beef up my resume. As a result of one of my internships, I received a full time offer before even graduating.

For accommodation, if you are using booking.Com, you can easily amend the credit card details anytime. So you can cancel the card, but just remember to update in your booking details to another card.

Always check terms and conditions. The miles may require a minimum before you can convert or they may expire before you even have sufficient to convert.

Firstly you did not mention whether your kids are already attending school or still at childcare age. If you can avoid the normal school holiday periods, you will find that cheap flights are easy to get. Example. I flew to Bali paying $90 return. If you have to travel during school holidays, planning ahead is crucial. Try to buy flights 4 to 6 months before and look out for promotions for both flight and accommodation. While traveling, look for free events and free activities. In some European countries, they have free museum days. Alternatively, consider getting a pass. It may be worthwhile considering the number of attractions you choose to visit.

I think if you are very close to the person just be direct and ask what do they need. I personally would recommend giving vouchers like Capitaland vouchers or ntuc which they can use for the necessities.

Hi! For srs, you can probably find a srs tax calculator online to determine whether at your current income levels it is worth it or not to reduce tax via srs :)

Stocks Discussion

I am currently an undergraduate and will be graduating in 2022. I recently came into a sum of $50,000 and would like to know what you'd do to invest if you were in my position?

Firstly, do you have any study loans? If yes, I suggest you save some to payoff before interest kicks in. Then, put some money in some safe instrument while you learn to invest. Spend some on an actual account. A demo account is good to test things out but real accounts are the real deal! It will confirm whether you are really the aggressive risk profile you think you are!

My goal is to inch closer to my goal to become FIRE by saving more than 50% of my income and investing into dividend stocks to earn passive income.
