Omg. when im 15, all i care is whether i can pass all my exams with flying colors. I wasnt even concern abt investing because i had no money and didnt have to worry abt money. If he's my child, i will most probably look at the entry level, platform and risk involved. If its not a scam, i will support him in terms of seminar and classes abt it. If he decides to invest, he could work part-time for the money.

As a fresh grad, if you dont have study loan, you should be able to save up to 50%. (the amt after cpf deduction) This is the best time to save as more and more commitments will come up later on.

Evaluate your current expenses and loans, then speak to your parents and know what are their thoughts. Both of my parents are currently working and they dont see the need for me to give them monthly allowance. I typically bring them out for meals and pay for the monthly gorcery instead. This will also be subjected to change when the situation changes.

Hello, there are a few factors you could consider: Scale of company - SME; you have the opportunity to know/do more. MNCs; more specific role Types of role - what can you learn, what skills you could pick up Team you are working in - who is your reporting officer Company Culture - you could get the feel when you enter the office Location of company - If you spend more than 1.5 hr travelling, thats 3 hr a day and will be a big no no for me.

Hello, first you'd need to discuss this seriously with your partner. Type of house, how much reno to be done, scale of wedding etc. After getting a ball park figure for these then you will be able to guage how much to save.

Instead of tracking budget, i track my net worth instead. A kind soul created an excel for this and i fill it in every end of the month. So i set a target for myself on how much i wanna achieve by when.

I would prefer high monthly and average bonus becos i wont get tied down to wait for the bonus. Also, nowadays some company gives bonus mid year and end year to prevent staff from leaving which im not fond of.

Hi Leslie, i will look at the cash on hand. If you have already saved 75k, putting it in those high interest account will rake you in more than the 2% interest. Eg. UOB one 3.88% (you hit all criteria), you will earn 1.88% without doing anything.
