Because of MAS regulations, you need min 30k annual income for credit card. However most banks (e.g. DBS) are offer a secured credit card if you put 10k in their FD. This can usually only be done in branch. No online application.

When you buy a foreign currency denominated etf, you are investing in a company, not a specificcurrency. Let's say the ETF holds a basket of shares from company all around the world, some in the US, some UK, some SG etc and the etf is valued in USD. When USD goes weaker against SGD, the value of the sg and UK companies in the ETF goes up accordingly and in theory it should cancel out the Forex risk. But do note that this only applies if you only hold USD for a short time, e.g. buying USD with SGD just before purchasing the ETF, and changing from USD back to SGD immediately after you sell the ETF

It depends on your spending pattern. One interesting thing I noticed is that installment on the GE Cashflo card counts, so that can be one of the sources if you have GE insurance policies. I tried using 365, but personally find it hard to hit the 800 min spending consistently for meaningful cashback. Considering changing to Frank or Titanium. If you high earner (120k p.a.), can also consider Voyage. At least this gives you miles regardless of spending.

Depends on the specific insurance. AXA doesn't allow, while GE can only use the GE cashflow card. Prudential accepts any card.
