My sis shared with the $5 Saving Challenge. Started since beginning of the year and I saved quite a few hundreds already. Other habits can be: 1. Cut down on drinks outside. If I have have craving for sugar drinks, go to nearest convenient store/supermart to get drinks below $2 instead of bubble tea/drinks from foodcourt; 2. Bring water bottle to work/outside - in case on the way thirsty can drink plain water, before go home top up water from office water dispenser, plain water is healthier also. 3. Drink own atas instant coffee (50cents/stick) instead of buying it from store ($1.80/cup) 4. When come to food choice, usually I scanned all food $5 & below first, if don't have food I like then I will look at more expensive food.

I have been working on jobs that I 'liked' and allow me to learn for almost 20years before I finally realised that at the rate I am earning I will be going to might never be able to retired. Someone knocked some sense into me recently that I should have got myself a job that earns me comfortable income and with the money I can pursue things I like without stress. Depending on what you are looking for, there might be 2 approaches. 1. Get a lower pay job that allows you to learn and you like, chiong till you 'learn enough', switch to MNC by late 20s/early 30s, chiong for money with the exprience and knowledge. 2. Just go for a higher pay job and chiong till you earn enough to retire (hopefully by 50s), then take the money and enjoy life. Regardless of your choice, make sure you keep yourself alive in btw, dun stress till you have medical concern.
