Which would be a better choice? DCA in roboadvisor (stashaway / syfe) or directly into S&P500 & world ETFs?

DCA in roboadvisor is more cost-effective in my opinion. I have been DCA in StashAway and Syfe (100% REITs).

It is definitely a good time now to invest for long term. In terms of ETF, I perfer to invest using roboadvisor for diversification and flexibility to add funds.

Thinking of investing with DCA with Stashaway. Which portfolio did you invest in and how's the performance thus far?

I have invested in 22% Risk for retirement and 36% Risk for long-term general investment. Started 22% Risk back in Nov 2019 with monthly DCA and the time-weighted return is -2.40%. Started 36% last week and time-weighted return is -2.02%. I will be doing daily/weekly DCA for 36% risk portfolio and monthly DCA for 22% risk portfolio.

Off the top of your heads, what are your thoughts on Singapore Technologies Engineering?

ST Engineering has a well-diversified portfolio in aerospace, electronics, land systems, marine and others. The aerospace segment accounted for about 47% of ST Engineeringā€™s net profit last year, weak aviation traffic would definitely have a huge knock-on effect on the company. Other segments could face supply chain issues which may result in delays in production. Dividends will definitely be affected for this year and 2021 but the business will eventually pick up in the long-term.

Hi all, currently a 20 yr old in NS. Reading about some investing and I have come across the DBS Invest saver. Any opinions about it as a start into investing?

It is definitely a good start to invest. I will invest using robo-advisor instead due to the diversification and higher potential returns.

It really depends on your risk appetite and if you are looking at short or long term investment. For me, I am in the middle to high risk and long term investment. With 10k to invest, I will invest in 2-3 blue-chip company. DBS and CapitaLand will be my pick. If I am a passive and beginner investor, I will invest via Robo-advisor (StashAway) and DCA weekly.
