You probably had an amount in mind, a sum that you would need before retiring. If you have delayed quitting your job to retire, how much longer are you staying in your job and why?

Was it to hit a certain buffer sum before you quit? How much is it?

Hi there good question. I became more focus at 31 years old or 7 years ago when I can see the trajectory of my wealth more conservatively.

Back then I estimate to have like $500,000 in the portfolio and $200,000 in cash at the end of 39 years old.

I manage to hit the target early.

But I think I also refine the way I look at retirement. In life you realize that you don't really know the kyith at 39 years old when you are the kyith at 31 years old.

What we do is move a long with it.

I have an inclination to leave the current employment but most likely I will do something else.

You can say I am delaying retirement. Or rather it's closer to full employment or semi retirement.

The scheme of financial security fits me more, which is to ensure the money gives you peace of mind.

I still hold out to my original target of 39 years old (I am 38) before switching
