Would you pay $2-3k to attend an investing course and be part of their investing community?

What are the pros and cons? Do you think these courses are legit or just a scam? anyone with first-hand experience?

Yes I would if my financial goal aligns with what the trainer has in mind. I'll look at the personality if the trainer, the size of the community, community's records, benefits of joining the programme and how many have used the programme to fire their bosses.

Pros: ready made system. Access for help in getting started. Mentorship. After programme benefits and continuous learning. Access to cheaper commission with a broker.

Cons: crying wallet. If you have already attended various workshops, how to blend it all together. The workshop isn't all it turns out to be. This is where you need to read up on the programme's reviews and ask around first.

Depending whether the trainer is a practitoner and has a heart to teach.

Pros:

Shortcut success

Have a community to travel together for your investing journey

Con:

Course doesn't deliver what it promises

If you asked me 1 year ago, I would say no, why should I pay for something that I can read online? At that time, courses were a cost to me. What I don't need, I don't have to pay for it. But in terms of my investing journey, I saw it stagnating. And I was recommended to a course by a good friend whom I trust the most, and I decided to take that risk.

And BOY. Best decision I made in my investment journey for sure. I never knew the importance of the community until after the course. The motivation of a like-minded community with passionate founders constantly thinking for his community, that is something that is priceless. And then I realize why my growth was stagnating, it was because I was investing alone, no guidance from the team, no idea what went wrong and how can I improve. And today, I dare say I am have a much clearer vision of my investing journey, and have zero doubt I will continue to be part of this community for many many many years to come.

Sounds awesome right? Let me know if you want to find out more about it, always glad to share!

I would attend their free workshop and to get a feel out of it 1st. I would expect them to show me their track record. Sometimes we can feel if they are credible or not.

I don't mind to spend if able to fast track my learning. I know many people are concern about if worth their money, myself attended a few. I feel that is how i fast track my learning. How i learnt from their mistakes so i won't repeat it.

Of cuz there are a few useless and lousy one out there. If you feel too good to be true, just walk away. If they said like by just spending 1 hour a day or a week to analyse stock and you can earn 20% ROI per year, it is bull shit. Just walk away.

I won't buy. My thinking is that if these course coordinator are so good in investing, why would the...
