So you've heard Berkshire invested in companies like Mitsubish, Mitsui, Sumitomo etc etc. I think my answer won't be so broad, because your question is pretty broad I'll focus a bit more on Berkshire's moves. Simply put, Japanese companies are relatively "unsexy" compared to what we see on the nyse and they pay dividends since these are huge corporations rather than young startups. For example, Sumitomo pays an estimated 5% dividend. However, risks are expected because Japanese stocks have been kinda low for a long time and expecting BH to lead a turnaround is a risk in itself
Nonetheless, assuming that you aren't based in Japan, you can consider hedging currency risk through an etf like DXJ instead.βββ

Hmmm Warren Buffett recently invested in 5 trading houses in japan (I think) and i also read about Brekshire Hathaway (Warren Buffett's Company) being in talks with Mitsui about collaborating to expand in Japan. (Might want to search it up).
