Hi there. Both has its pros and cons, just like with every other plan in the market. Prudential CI insurance for ladies are more geared towards lady illnesses while Aviva's CI coverage gives a more comprehensive package for critical illnesses in general.

My recommendation is, if you don't have a family history of female illnesses, just go for a CI plan that covers general conditions.

You can reach me here to find out more. I cover 9 major insurers aside from Aviva, and I can provide you with a quote from Prudential as well.

Hey there!

Just checking, do you have any form of CI coverage? Or do you have a generic standalone CI plan/CI rider attached to your Life plan. It'll be okay to aim for coverage for female-related illnesses once you've settled the generic CI coverage. There are quite a few in the market eg. AIA Glow of Life, Pru Lady etc.

If not, my advice to you is to aim for a general CI coverage plan, and then opt for something more specific eg. Ladies Illness plan. The reason being is that aiming for something more encompassing at the start provides a good foundation, subsequently when you narrow down on certain illnesses coverage, it'll ensure maximum coverage.

There are quite a few options out there for standalone CI plans. You can consider AIA Power Critical Cover since it offers multiple payouts for relapses and different CI occurrences. It also covers for 150 multi-stage critical illnesses and 15 special conditions.

If you're looking at getting a CI rider for your Life plan, do note the multiplier effect. The higher your multiplier, it means the higher your coverage but this may mean your cash accumulation effect is lower. The cash accumulation portion is what generates cash value towards your retirement years.

Financial planning is an integral part of life. You can reach me here to find out more.
