Would you attend a wedding invitation from a classmate that you have not met/catchup with for a period of time (e.g >5 years)

Assuming you were relatively close during school but didn't catchup for a long time after that. Suddenly you receive a wedding invitation

I will give it a pass due to the following reasons:

1) The friend will be so busy so you will unlikely be able to catchup

2) You will be placed with some old friends/ strangers which you might not want to interact with

3) We want to attend this special event because we are truly happy for our friend. Are you truly happy?
