Would the Singapore govt increase or decrease the number of PRs being issued to long term foreign talent during and after the COVID situation?

In the medium and long run would the govt ease or further tighten the flow of foreign talent across the board to grow the economy? What do you think would be in the counties best interest?

I think the whole global economy will shrink in 2020.

my bet is singapore won't prosper in 2020, but maybe 2021 onwards with a better expansion, singapore will let in more foreign talents.

In the short term, I suspect there will be less foreign talents, less foreign workers to be allowed in Singapore.

Not because of political reasons but for economical reasons.

The economy is not going to bounce back like a V shaped recovery, its probably going to be U shaped or L shaped (my gut feel).

You are going to need a lot lesser foreigners, not just foreign workers like shipyard workers, construction workers, f&b staff, but also a lot lesser foreign talents like bank executives, expats, etc
