This option was considered because very hard to find a good pay salary, good environment for a mid career position... Would love to hear if this option is viable.. should I invest in the franchise for 7-11?

If you have spare cash ($100k+), willing to work long hours (12 to 16hrs per day), able to work rotating shifts (no fix sleeping time) and public holidays, able to carry 20 cartons drinks and top up everyday and looking to franchise a 7-11 as a small business and not as an investment, then it’s ok. It takes full commitment, good location, good inventory and manpower management to breakeven on the franchise fee after 2 years.

Retail store always have manpower shortage and franchise fee dont come cheap also. Weather you can make money or not depend on location and how you keep your cost low. Means you might need to work longer hours and hire less staff. Dont forget they are over like 500 stores in Singapore. Maybe you can contact Cheers and compare the franchise fee with Cheers but I can tell you after Covid sales not that good as last time. Good luck

Usually when talk about franchise, capital comes first. Then the popularity or branding. Then in Singapore, next is probably how crowded it is.
