With masters government subsidies gone, should I give up on taking masters?
I was initially planning to take part time masters in a field that I have interest in (and maybe do a career change if I do well in said masters program) and I have finally saved up enough after working for a few years.
But with the removal of subsidies, the cost of doing part time masters is just too much. Should I continue saving up and take masters a few years later? Or is there any other alternatives which I can seek out

Do you need the masters? most of the time, employers don't look at the masters, more work experience.

Speaking from my experience, I did my Master in Computer Science (NUS) and dropped out due to a "free upgrade into an industrial PhD", I would like to share my 2 cents tip.
For context, I graduated in aeronautical engineering and I wanted to switch careers due to the difference in salary and CS is more versatile. However, I had to fork out that hefty sum just to pay for the course. Honestly speaking, it is not that worthwhile if you just want to "wash" your certificate and attain a higher salary. I am a self-taught software engineer and have been working in my company for over 2 years. I feel that the salary difference between people with/without a Master does not really matter. You just need that undergraduate degree as your ticket to get your first job and the rest is based on your experience.
