Will the recent changes to MediShield Life affect Integrated shield plans holders?

I understand that there will be changes to MediShield Life but how will they affect ISP holders?

Hi Jing Wei,

Right now the changes are still proposed.

However if they go though, then MSL will bear a higher maximum amount of the bill for most government wards. Thus realistically we can expect that ISP plans covering A ward and below to have the premium increase rate moderated.

However, with the reduction in pro ration factor for private hospitals, MSL will cover lesser of a private hospital bill, leaving ISPs to foot the rest. We can realistically expect higher ISP premiums for private hopsitals.
