Why do some people regret their ILP after a few years?

I’ve been seeing people say they regret getting an investment-linked policy (ILP) after a few years, while others are perfectly happy with theirs.

ILP got many kinds sia, the man on the street probably don't understand ILP in depth. Best ILP for me is those with CI coverage and death coverage is not affected after CI claim. So after claim CI, I still have death coverage. If premium waiver is added then lagi best, future premiums all paid for. I get free death coverage and my investment will keep growing.

I had both ILPs. Tokio Marine go treasure and HSBC life pulsar. Both of them have much much lower ROI as compared to SnP 500 DCA. Also, the fees of ILPs are much higher than SnP 500.

So anyway, I terminated those two trash ILPs. The only benefit (not mine) of ILPs is the commission enjoyed by the Financial advisor. I heard it is pretty high commission up to 50 %.

I have an ILP for about 5.5 years, it has been giving me fair returns of about 6.9% annualized retur...
