Im am Malaysian and plan to purchase investment in Singapore , I'm quite confuse why at here people worry about 99 years lease? And I ask my family in Malaysia, they said when the lease expire, just renew with malaysia government will do. What's the difference in Singapore and Malaysia ? Thanks .

Once a HDB flat reaches 99 years old, the value of the flat drops to $0. There is no renewal in Singapore unlike in Malaysia.
