Why do people still invest in BTC and other alt coins?

Maybe they feel safer with the "diversification" of buying different coins? hahaha.

Okay jokes aside, I think the main reason is that most of the ALT coins are still relatively "under recognised" compared to BTC, and buying some ALT coins is good in the sense that in the event the ALT coin in question has a temporary sudden surge in value, they wouldn't miss out on the opportunity (think Doge coin).

Afterall, worse case they just move in the same direction only lol.

Of course, they are also people who choose to buy certain ALT coins simply because they believe these would become the next BTC.

To answer your question, you got to really read up on how cryptocurrencies work and why people are so interested in getting a piece. As our world become more connected, currencies seem to be different in countries but with cryptocurrencies there is some uniform currency that can be used for payments or transfers without conversion.

More so than that, cryptocurrencies uses blockchain to verify transaction. I used to also wonder why people but BTC or Etherum in 2017 but last year, when institutions started buying, I read up more and believe the integration of it into our future lives is there.
