Hi there,
DPI are subjected to insurance caps, as there is no advice during the whole process. CI coverage is also lower than LIA's requirements, 30 CIs covered vs the industry standard of 37.
When you do need to make claims on your DPI policies, you will need to process the claims yourself with the insurer either via forms or email. The process might be drawn out as there is no representative that will liase for you.
Those 3 points are usually why people dont opt for DPI. At the end of the day, you will need to make a judgement call on your own end on what suits yourself better, there are some people who like to DIY and some who rather have a peace of mind.
Hope i was able to answer your queries!
