There are no legendary investors in Singapore, unfortunately. To me, legendary = 15% CAGR over a sufficiently long period of time. I have yet to meet a professional investors with such performance record. The rare ones that do have such performance are either 1) traders/HFT/macro and I don't consider those investors per se, or 2) retail investors (there's surprisingly some hidden dragons, albeit their capital pool is small).

Might be overly judgemental, but my theory as to why there's so few legendary Asian investors (despite Asia being a terrific growth story over the past decades) is that we are genetically unsuited for investing (the gambler gene in Asians is strong). That's why while we do see some very good traders/speculators/quant funds, there's very few great investors.
