Hi, just started with TD Ameritrade. Under account summary, many figures such as cash and sweep vehicle, long marginable value etc, are unfamiliar to me. Which are important to take note?
I only want buy stock with my cash. Which figure should I look at? Deposited money but cash balance $0 while others have figures.
Which figure tell me I'm on margin? Are there anywhere I can go understand these figures?
cash and sweep vehicle, cash bal, equity comms & fee ytd, equity %, long marginable value, long stock val, maintenance requirement, margin bal, margin equity, money market bal, net liquidating value, option buying power, short bal, short marginable value, stock buying power

Look at "available funds for trading" : this is the amount of money you can use to buy stocks without going into margin. don't look at "stock buying power" : this is using margin to buy stocks. the rest you can ignore if you are not using margin.
