Which savings account to use?

I have a huge dilemma - I am currently on DBS mulitplier and can't hit enough % for it to be worth staying on this account. However, after much research, I am still unable to decide.

  • I usually use my miles card (citi) for most of my online/ big ticketed credit card spend which means my other credit card is mostly for offline and transport which is below $500 monthly.
  • To get a good interest rate from UOB, I need to spend about $500 each month which seems unlikely on at least 4-5 months per year. This makes more sense for me to get a OCBC 360 acc
  • However, OCBC 360 credit cards all have minimum spends... of more than $500 so...
  • I pay insurance annually so using that cant be a reason

I do save monthly into a robo advisor so does that constitute as a GIRO payment? Or can I apply for OCBC and not have a OCBC credit card - is that ideal?

Need some advice, please! Thanks :-)

Bear in mind that your bank account can be with a different bank from a credit card account.

Like you, I hold a citi card, but I keep most of my monies with a few other banks. Consider digital banks if you trust them. Their interest rates are pretty much low requirements.

Heyy, take a look at this page for some of the best savings accounts!
