Hi i want to start to put some $ away every month for retirement 30 years later. Intending to buy s&p 500, but i am so confuse which to buy? I google s&p 500 it says .INX but cannot find on interactive brokers
Or cannot buy s&p 500 directly? Only can use other etfs that track s&p 500? Abit confuse n new here.. thanks

Yup, you're right. INX represents the index which is why we can't buy directly into it. We can only invest in the ETFs that track it.
