Depend on the brokerage u use... If u use FSM, you get charge 10usd per trade for us stocks.
So if u wanna invest multiple stocks, low quantity den u might incur some high comm fee.

There are companies that have zero commission and if this is the case, u can hold multiple stocks. Too much diversification, may not be good to your portfolio return.

Depend. (Assume all the companies you pick are good)

If u want diversify just buy ETF. Owning too many stocks, lot of transaction fees. Less volatile, less gain in portfolio.

If you mainly for high growth is better to focus on 3 - 5 stocks. More volatile More gain.

If you focus on dividend. You may strategically select several stocks so that you get paid every month. As you less concern about the stock price.
