Where do I apply for a liquor license to start a pub in Singapore?

You'll make an application to the Singapore Police Force. The application process is digital.

Step 1: Choose the type of liquor license you'd like

• There are 8 kinds of licenses and they will vary in price, hours you can sell alcohol, and what kinds of alcohol you can sell (e.g. beer only vs all types of alcohol).

Step 2: Ensure you meet application criteria

• Have a business entity registered with ACRA (e.g. Pte Ltd)
• You must be a Singapore Citizen, Singapore Permanent Resident, or at least have a FIN
• You must have a director-level position in the company you're using to apply for the license (e.g. board director for Pte Ltd, partner for LLPs, etc.)
• You must be a fit and proper person (most important, so no criminal record, no prior cancellation of liquor licenses, etc.)

Step 3: Apply online on GoBusiness Licensing Portal

• You'll need a copy of your IC or other identification document, ACRA certificate of incorporation, and other F&B-related licenses
