When will Tesla be formally added in the S&P 500 Index? Will it seriously affect the price of buying in to the S&P 500?

At almost $390 billion in value, Tesla would be the biggest company ever added to the benchmark.

Study show during announcement date stock price will rise. But during the actual date no conclusion can be made. So from a non-scientific point of view, we can conclude we had official missed the boat😆
