When using SRS to buy SSB, is it a must that my CDP account and SRS account are in the same bank?

Hi QP,

Your CDP account must have Direct Crediting Service activated on your bank account. This allows interest payments from your Savings Bonds to be credited directly into your bank account.

No need.

The bank account linked to your CDP is just for payment/settlement purpose. You just have to apply for ssb through internet banking of your SRS operator.
