When should I cancel credit card to avoid annual fee?

Is there a best time to cancel credit card if I no longer use it and I'm trying to avoid having to pay the annual fee?

Just cancel before the annual fees if you are rarely using it.

If u do not need the credit card, it is better to cancel immediately. Low usage may make the fee waiver impossible. Besides, also security issue in case of someone "used" your card.
