When people talk about first 100k do u include investment or just pure saving?

I do investment, but i put my money to real investment not money investment. Like robot, insurance, bank deposit

To me, mine consist of the following:

• Cash (Including emergency $$)
• Investment
• Policies' surrender value at current point (but please, don't surrender it unless really necessary)

I do not consider property & CPF to be part of the equation.

First 100k to me means:

1. Emergency fund
2. Initial investment captial

Saving and investment and any hard asset with tangible resale value.

but personally I dont count my CPF. As its not liquid to some extend.
