When people say invest with leverage or borrow to invest , do they mean share financing? Or is there another way to borrow money to invest?

Leverage could be buying leveraged products or buying with margin as well.

Taking debt to invest could be another term.

Share financing is just one way to borrow (money) to invest. You can short, but its borrowing shares, instead of money, to sell at a higher price and buying back later (covering) on at a lower price.

Theres also DLCs, which are leveraged (eg 3x...5x...).​​​
