When did you start to prefer trading rather than just relying on vault investment?

Honestly, I found that deeply analyzing stock fundamentals is pretty tough as a retail investor. Relying solely on value investments without proper understanding can easily lead to significant losses. That’s why I got into learning technical analysis and option trading. Btw, the option chains of ibkr and tiger are quite clear and user-friendly, This gives me much better clarity on stock trends, helps me time my entries and exits, spot short term opportunities, and manage risks better.
