When did you first start investing in crypto? What made you take the first step to invest in crypto?

I'll go first! I just started in Sep 2021 after China banned cryptocurrency, while I do not fully understand the nuances of crypto yet (there's so much to learn my goodness), I do believe in the potential of the digital currency and that it should have a place in my portfolio. Also a bit fomo la, not gonna lie πŸ˜‚. What about you?

I began investing in crypto back in 2017, driven by curiosity about blockchain technology and its disruptive potential. While the learning curve was steep, I was drawn to the decentralization aspect and the opportunity for financial autonomy. Over time, my confidence grew, and I saw crypto as a valuable asset diversification tool. Despite occasional FOMO, my belief in its long-term potential keeps me invested. Investing in crypto is a smart decision. Of course, investing in bitcoin at a price of almost 30K is quite risky. However, you can invest money, for example, in USDT tokens. By the way, on the switchere website you can even buy usdt with credit card , which is very rare. In my opinion, Switchere is the safest exchange where the buying process consists of three steps for maximum security.

Man guess I'm early. Bought it from Dec 2017 (during Uni), near the top of 5 digit Bitcoin. Hodl down during the crash, saw bitcoin crash from 6k to 3k and eth at $90. Only added more during mid-late 2019 so perhaps that was my 'first' adult foray into crypto. From 2017 to 2019 kept reading and understanding crypto. In a nutshell, invested because of FOMO, but bear market helped me understand full promise of crypto.

Easiest place to start learning about crypto is to understand in what scenarios tokens actually have utility (aka Facebook's new name). Metaverse transcends physical and national borders, whereas USD or other currencies are subject to capital controls. What better way to transact value in digital world than a digital token (aka crypto)? NFTs are much more than just JPEGs. JPEGs are but 1 way NFTs are used. Other ways to use is to provide exclusive access much like an e-ticket, but can be transacted with the world and has value.
