If there is no accompanying identity e.g. wallet, then I would take it, donate $50 to charity, invest the remaining $50 as part of T-bills and donate the interest (of $50) to charity so it has a constant cashflow!
If one brings it to Police Station, they would not be able to verify / identify the owner too and it'll either be donated or put back into the government
If it's within a wallet then I'll return it.
