What should one do (cash top-up etc.) to help his/her mum in her retirement if she has been a housewife for more than 30 years without much savings and no investment?

Hi Stuart, would you recommend a single to buy a 2-room flexi BTO flat or Resale HDB flat? I would prefer a bigger flat and now incline towards Resale HDB flat. Thanks., Should one move to a new job if there is no good future in the business /company (due to Covid-19 pandemic) but I have a good and supportive boss right now? Thanks.
