What should I get for hospital coverage for myself? I'm 23 and haven't started working yet. What plans should I be considering?

Required a most value for money hospital plan. Currently having one from Greatly Eastern but it's overpriced.

Yes grab shield plans with no cash outlay.

google for private shield medical insurance that are payable with your CPF-Medisave amount. Every major insurer has it.

AIA healthshield, Prudential prushield, aviva myshield, Great eastern supremeshield, raffles hospital shield, NTUC income shield, etc etc.....

Make sure you use your CPF-Medisave for any private shield plan (I believe AIA, Great Eastern, Prudential, Aviva, Raffles Medical, NTUC Income all provides private shield plans payable via CPF medisave.

You can compared all of them, some plans are cheaper, some are expensive (but supposedly better service or coverage).

Most importantly, they don't take up your free cashflow.

Hi Esther,

Are you holding onto the old 100% plan or the new 95% plan?

With regards to the new 95% plan, GE actually has one of the most value for money hospital plan in the market. You might considering getting a lower ward and classic rider if you have a budget constraint.

If you have the old 100% plan, i would suggest you to do a downgrade to a lower ward
