Smart homes seem to be the rage nowadays. 🔥 Both private property developers and the HDB have been touting smart homes when launching their new projects.
Furthermore, we are seeing more home tech devices from Google, Amazon or Apple. And some of the electrical appliances can be even "controlled" via your phone.

Definitely a boon! As the world becomes more technologically advanced, so do we, and so do our homes. And in a country like Singapore, this is definitely a step towards creating an efficient home lifestyle. We do see this trend in a lot of new launch properties — food for thought: if it becomes the baseline for all new developments, what happens if a project doesn't have smart home capabilities?
