A friend of mine’s father-in-law is currently overseas in BKK and had a heart attack. No insurance whatsoever, including travel insurance. Now requires emergency medical treatment. Has anyone experienced this before?

There are other requirements associated with the use of MediSave for medical treatment overseas. This link may help: https://www.cpf.gov.sg/members/FAQ/schemes/heal...
Give the hotline a call and seek their advice on the best way to approach this matter.

Hi Leslie,
Just wondering if things are okay for your friend's father-in-law? I think based on what is searchable online and what we have it seems that actually... there doesn't seem to be a way to use medisave to pay for the overseas treatment... Did you call the hotline and get further advise? Also has your friend's father-in-law recovered?
