Depend on the underlying. Investment grade bond or high yield bond. High yield bond give high dividend payout but NAV tend to depreciate overtime.

It really depends on the underlying investments for the fund. Short duration bond fund can yield anything from 1% to 2.5%, while emerging market/high yield bonds can go much higher, much like equities risk.
