Sounds morbid but there’s only two guaranteed events in life. Death and taxes. I’m 23 but trying to prepare for future emergencies. How much do I need to prepare for my own funeral or for my loved ones?

I had the same thoughts 10 years ago. That is why i bought a whole Life Insurance for myself, which the amount will adjust itself with inflation. Also, this whole life acts as a basic CI protection (with CI rider) for myself, while i top up the rest with CI term insurance (Aviva Mindef is a very cheap vehicle for CI insurance, though ECI is not worth due to limited conditions).
Most funeral should only cost about $30,000 at most (for a very grand 1). The longer your funeral is held, the costlier it will be.
