Separating between needs and wants can often be in a grey area. I'm curious as to how the community differentiate the needs and wants, and curious as to what the community often splurge on and reasons why you think you wanna do that.

1) Shoes
It's a need, yet the quality I start to pursue now becomes a want. Since young, I have been used to buying bata or Taobao shoes due to SES and they don't even last me that long. Ever since I got exposure to the more affluent families in society when I entered a more prestigious school, I realised people wore Yeezys, air force to school and I was envious of that. And since I started working, I started spending more money to buy shoes.

2) Food
Eating good food makes me happy. That's really it.

I have simple needs. So a Starbucks is like splurging to me. Otherwise, experiences, quality shoes, quality bag, quality clothes (does not need to be expensive, outlets have fantastic value for money quality products if you don't exactly care about being "fashionable") would be the ones that I will splurge on Cos they also last longer & hence need to lesser things.
