Was exploring ftx and came across tokenized stocks, shown as GOOGL/USD, BABA/USD etc. Wondering if they work the same like stock?

Tokenized stocks are assets that mirror the irl price of a stock. Some benefits of tokenized stocks would be the opportunity to yield farm on the tokenized stock since they exist on the blockchain, so you can benefit from the share price appreciation and earn yield at the same time. And also because of the decentralization, you won't encounter a case where your broker decides to force sell your shares on your behalf (Robinhood in February).

The cons would be the lack of accessibility cos it's quite mafan, and you'll need to pay a premium to purchase tokenized stocks. You also won't "own" the stock ie no voting rights, dividends etc
